Having attended Ridgefield Public Schools from kindergarten to high school, and as a proud member of our local Korean-American community, Patrick is deeply passionate about our borough, particularly our school district. Because of his firsthand experience in the school district, Patrick knows the ins and outs of what our school district needs, especially in an ever-changing environment.
Throughout his time at Ridgefield Memorial High School, Patrick was an active participant on the high school’s cross country and golf teams, Student Council, DECA, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), and the National Honor Society (NHS). Going into his senior year at RMHS, Patrick interned for Representative Donald Norcross in his Washington, DC, office, becoming one of the youngest interns on Capitol Hill and for the State Department’s Video Captioning at State team. During his time at RMHS, Patrick was also enrolled in Bergen Community College’s Early College program, graduating from high school with an associate’s degree as a member of BCC's Phi Theta Kappa honor society.
Following graduation, Patrick interned for Representative Josh Gottheimer, the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration, and most recently for the House Education and Workforce Committee, being at the forefront of the nation’s education and labor policies. In all his work, Patrick has remained focused on one priority: the people.
His commitment to expanding opportunities for all and his passion for public service motivated him to run for Ridgefield’s Board of Education, so he can serve residents and strengthen our education system.
